John Allen (born December 4, 1944) is an Australian actor. After graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1969, he initially established himself in theatre, appearing in some eighteen productions at the prestigious Melbourne Theatre Company. This was followed by a number of appearances with the Old Tote Theatre Company in Sydney, culminating with the opening season of the Sydney Opera House and a tour with the Company to London and the West End.
