Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account for BingeBoxd: TV & Movie Tracker (published by Henri Elezi) and what happens to your data when you do.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the BingeBoxd app:

  1. Open the BingeBoxd app and sign in
  2. Go to your Profile tab and tap the Settings icon
  3. Tap your profile card at the top of the Settings screen
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm the deletion

Your account is deleted immediately after you confirm.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your BingeBoxd account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". We will verify your identity and delete your account within 30 days of your request.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your email address, username, display name, and profile bio
  • Your profile pictures and profile backdrop
  • Your watch history, episode progress, and watch sessions
  • Your favorite shows and custom posters
  • Your followers, accounts you follow, and blocked accounts
  • Your notifications and notification preferences
  • Your comments that have no replies
  • Push notification tokens and sign-in credentials

What data is kept, and for how long

  • Reviews, ratings, and lists you created are kept but permanently anonymized — they are shown as authored by "Deleted User" and can no longer be linked to you. If you would like this content removed as well, delete it in the app before deleting your account, or mention it in your email request.
  • Comments that have replies are kept in anonymized form so that other users' conversation threads remain intact.
  • Backups: residual copies of deleted data may persist in our encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged.
  • Subscription records: purchase records required for tax, accounting, or fraud prevention may be retained where legally required. Manage or cancel an active subscription through Google Play or the Apple App Store — deleting your account does not cancel it.
